The Hudsonville Flanderses claimed a close win over the Shady Side Zoomies, due in large part to Rafael Rivas. The Hudsonville right-hander pitched a great game to secure the 2-0 win. Hudsonville, now 8-4, has gotten their season off to a good start.

Rivas was dominant for Hudsonville. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits, while racking up 10 strikeouts. He threw 96 pitches over 7.1 innings in the contest.
