The Eugene Vandals extended their winning streak.

The Alaskan Bush Pilots could not turn a fine performance from third baseman Calvin Kirk into a win. Instead, the Eugene Vandals prevailed, 8-4. Kirk was 3-5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Eugene has now won 7 games in a row.

Mike McVeigh had a big 3-run home run for the Vandals in the bottom of the third inning. With Eugene leading 3-1 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from Bryan Massey, who is tied for 4th in the PA with a 8.9 K/9 rate, and swatted a home run to center. It was his 6th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Vandals ahead, 6-1.
