The home crowd had a good time watching the Ogallala Octopi and Hicksville Hounds get after it.

The Hicksville Hounds picked up a win at Hound Pound, downing the Ogallala Octopi, 8-4. On the mound for Hicksville was right-hander Luke Little, who played a pivotal role in the win. Little got the win, improving to 1-1. He gave up 3 hits and walked 0 over 7 innings. He allowed 1 run.

Jing-sheng Siu had a big grand slam home run for the Hounds in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Hicksville leading 2-1 and the bases loaded, he sized up a sinker from 21-year old right-handed pitcher Rick Hartsfield and punished it. The result was his 2nd home run of the season, which put the Hounds on top, 6-1.

"When you are able to locate the ball, good things are going to happen," said Little.

The Octopi fall to 3-9 and continue their unimpressive start to the 2058 season.
