The Rogues faced a stiff challenge from Delmarva pitcher Jesús Soto, but persevered to claim a win at The Cage. The final score was 2-1. Soto went 5.2 innings and allowed 1 run. Delmarva has now lost 8 straight.
Bing-zhang Fan came through with a big-time hit for Newmarket. The third baseman smacked a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 2-1. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
