Alvarado Pounds 2 Homers in 11-2 Hermit Crabs Win
The Huntington Hermit Crabs soundly defeated the Put-In-Bay Commodores, 11-2, at The Shell. Cisco Alvarado, who is tied for 5th in the PA with a .302 batting average, let his bat do the talking. He was 2 for 4 with 2 home runs, while adding 7 RBI and scoring twice for Huntington. The Hermit Crabs now have a record of 43-34.

With Huntington leading 7-2 in the bottom of the seventh, Alvarado came up to bat against Put-In-Bay pitcher Danny Pruitt. Alvarado hit a sinker to right-center for a grand slam home run. His 12th home run of the season put the Hermit Crabs on top, 11-2.

"We didn't get the results that we wanted," said Put-In-Bay skipper José Trejo.
