Blaze Need Extra Frames to Get Past Crawdads
The South Beach Blaze stopped the Cut Off Crawdads, 7-4, in 11 innings at Crawdads Field. The Blaze got a big game from José Rangel, who went 2-3 with a home run, 2 walks, and was hit by a pitch, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. South Beach reliever Gabriel Diharce picked up the win, upping his record to 6-2. Carl Roy took the loss. The win makes South Beach 45-33.

South Beach used the timely hitting of Irving Bryan to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 11th inning to put the Blaze on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"That was your kind of game, if you like high drama," said Blaze manager Gerald Merendino.
