Crawdads Squelch Commodores Offense in Shutout Win
|
Cut Off Crawdads starter Roger Price kept the Put-In-Bay Commodores hitters in check, leading his team to a comfortable 6-0 win. Cut Off is 7th in the Premier A with a record of 37-41.
Cut Off used a clutch hit from Joe Steward to get the win. The catcher drilled a grand slam home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Crawdads ahead, 5-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
Said losing manager José Trejo: "The list goes on and on of things we just flat out didn't do."
