The Mexico City Blue Demons trumped the Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids, 7-4, at Condor Nest. Mexico City third baseman Joe Raymond was terrific. He went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. The winning pitcher was Rhys Tregelles. His record now stands at 2-1. The right-hander went 7.1 innings, allowing 4 runs on 8 hits for the Blue Demons. Mexico City now has a record of 6-7.

Mexico City took a 7-3 lead on Raymond's 5th home run of the season. The grand slam home run, which he hit off Rob Camp in the bottom of the seventh, propelled Mexico City to the win.

"We were able to put some good swings on some pitches," Raymond told the Mexico City Chronicle.
