Loss Tarnishes Fine Effort by Crowle
|
The Chicago Tula besoiled an otherwise fine performance by Kennesaw designated hitter Graham Crowle by beating the Jets, 7-6, at Jets Stadium. Crowle went 3-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4. Chicago reliever Jerome Hilton picked up the win to move to 4-0. Gerardo Chávez suffered the loss. The Tula, at 44-34, sit in third place in the Premier A.
Chicago right fielder Francisco López helped the Tula go up, 7-6, in the top of the seventh inning. With the game tied, López hit a run-scoring single off Kennesaw pitcher Gerardo Chávez.
"We're playing like we're capable of," said Chicago manager José Ortega.
