The Hudsonville Flanderses beat the Plattsburgh Puffer Fish, 8-7, in part because of first baseman Matt Hughes. He went 4-4 with a home run and 3 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Cristóbal González was credited with the save for Hudsonville, his 4th of the season. The defeat makes Plattsburgh 5-8.

In the bottom of the seventh, the Flanderses grabbed the lead when Hughes hit his 3rd home run of the season. The 2-run home run off Víctor Martínez made it 8-7, Hudsonville.

"We got the victory," said Hughes. "That's all that matters at the end of the day."
