The Hudsonville Flanderses locked up a win at Hudsonville Park, knocking off the Crowley Cajuns, 4-0. On the mound for Hudsonville was left-hander Fa-tang Xiong. He played a major role in the triumph. The winner was Xiong. He threw 7.0 innings of shutout ball. The loser was Adam Johnson. Hudsonville, now 4-9, is off to a slow start.

With one out in the bottom of the first, Sonny O'Mulrooney hit a go-ahead, 3-run home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and with it the Flanderses took a 3-0 lead.

"Been a rough stretch for us," said Crowley manager Bill Wallace.
