Centennial Absorb 5-4 Home Loss
|
The Fort Knox Centennial got a superb performance from pitcher Jeremy Bush, but the Amarillo Warheads still won the game, 5-4. Bush threw 6.1 innings of 4-hit ball. Graeme Boucher, 2-0, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. Joe Jenkins earned the save for Amarillo, his 6th of the year.
Damian García drew 2 walks in 4 trips to the plate for Amarillo. The 19-year old left fielder had a key at-bat in the top of the seventh. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 4-4 tie with a run-scoring walk off Stan Bouwman. It was his 9th walk of the season.
"I'm just looking to see the ball, hit the ball," said García.
Amarillo goes to 10-3 with the win.
