Fort Knox Centennial starter Carlos Luna hurled his team past the Germantown Uruguayans, 3-2. Fort Knox reliever Adam Weijman picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Trent Harris absorbed the loss. The Centennial, with just their 4th win in 14 games, have played uninspired baseball so far.

The game was at a stalemate until second baseman Yin-reng Zhou came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Germantown pitcher Trent Harris, he hit a 2-2 changeup for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Fort Knox on top, 3-2.

"We hit some balls hard and didn't get rewarded for it," said Germantown manager Greg Dixon.
