The home team gave their fans plenty to cheer about, with a thrilling walk-off win.

The Newmarket Rogues defeated the Cut Off Crawdads, 6-5, in 11 innings in USPL Single A action at Rogues Stadium. Newmarket pitcher Ahobala Lalima had a standout performance. The win went to Nick Elliott in relief. His record improves to 6-3. Denny Brooks took the loss.

The Rogues got a clutch hit from catcher Juan Flores. In the bottom of the 11th, he hit a run-scoring single to center, to win the game for the Rogues.

"This place was rockin'," Flores said.

Yes, it was a win for Newmarket; but their 25-54 mark is nothing to crow about.
