The Chicago Tula wasted an impressive 7.1-inning effort from starter Kip Hill, falling, 2-1, to the Lake Erie Arryns at Arryns Ballpark. David Cole recorded the save for Lake Erie, his 17th of the season. The win elevated the Arryns to 48-31.

Mike White had a critical at-bat with one out in the bottom of the eighth for Lake Erie. He came through with a 2-run single to put Lake Erie in front, 2-1.

"Tough loss," said Chicago manager Don Pokorski. "Tough one to swallow."
