The Kennesaw Jets beat the Cut Off Crawdads, 7-4, at Crawdads Field. Harun Abdul-Hamid, who is tied for 9th in the PA in home runs with 11, starred for Kennesaw. He went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Steven Brown closed it out for Kennesaw, earning his 7th save. Kennesaw, at 34-45, holds down 9th place in the Premier A.
Kennesaw left fielder Arthur Hayes contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the fourth. With two down, he hit a changeup to center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 72nd hit of the season and put the Jets ahead, 5-4.
"Just glad I could help us get a win," said Hayes.
