Heath Now 8-4 After Beating Commodores
|
The Philadelphia Liberty U-24 rode a solid performance from 22-year-old starting pitcher Bob Heath to a win, beating the Put-In-Bay Commodores, 2-1, at Liberty Youth Field. The Liberty U-24 are now 49-31, while the Commodores fall to 25-55.
Heath tossed 110 pitches over 7 innings to clinch the win for the Liberty U-24. The right-hander allowed just 3 hits, while racking up 8 strikeouts in the game.
"I found a nice groove out there," said Heath.
