The first-place Chicago Tula took on the Huntington Hermit Crabs in front of a spirited crowd.

The Chicago Tula beat the Huntington Hermit Crabs, 9-1, at Ramblers Ballpark. Chicago second baseman Shi-xian Yong led the way. He went 4 for 5 with a home run and 3 singles, while scoring 3 and driving in 3. The winning pitcher was Danny Landry. He tossed 129 pitches over 7.2 innings, allowing no runs on 6 hits.

Yong made an early impact for Chicago when he stroked his 5th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which came in the bottom of the third, put the Tula on top, 3-0.

"I think we did a good job of looking for pitches we wanted to hit and put good swings on them," said Chicago skipper Don Pokorski.

Chicago improves to 51-29 with the win. They lead their division by 4½ games.
