Germantown beat Fort Knox on the strength of starting pitcher Tim George's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a win, 8-1. George, now 2-0, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 5, walking 4, and allowing 1 run. The win moves Germantown to a record of 9-6.

In the top of the first, Armando Barrón jumped on a fastball from Joe Blamey and hit a 2-run home run. It gave Germantown a quick 2-0 lead.

"We didn't put up much resistance," said losing manager Michael Malloy.
