The Huntington Hermit Crabs defeated the Chicago Tula, 11-3, at Ramblers Ballpark. Francisco Rivera was a standout performer for Huntington. His 4 hits included 3 singles and 1 double -- this in addition to the 2 runs he scored and 1 he knocked in. Ángel Núñez, who is tied for 4th in the PA in strikeouts with 99, was the winner. Tied up with the Tula in the top of the fifth inning, the Hermit Crabs got a boost from catcher José Gonzáles. With the bases loaded, Gonzáles saw a 2-1 cutter from Jerome Hilton and hit a run-scoring single to break the stalemate and put Huntington on top, 1-0.

"We were able to put some runs on the board," said Gonzáles after the game.
