Beavers Beat Hounds, 5-1
|
The Northwest Territory Beavers beat the Hicksville Hounds, 5-1, at Hound Pound. Starting pitcher Kiyonaga Kondo was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. The win gives Northwest Territory a record of 8-7.
The fans who came to support the Beavers were pleased with the outcome. It was what they had hoped for when they passed through the turnstiles at Hound Pound.
"I liked his command," said Northwest Territory manager Robert Acker. "Kiyonaga was throwing strikes."
