Stanley Werner had a strong outing for the Eugene Vandals against the Newmarket Rogues at Rogues Stadium. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 4-3 win. Edgar Liriano earned his 9th save in 10 chances. With the win, Eugene pushed its record to 48-34.

Eugene took a 4-1 lead on Santiago Vargas's 1st triple of the season. The run-scoring triple, which Vargas hit in the top of the seventh, left Newmarket pitcher Joe Dunn visibly frustrated.

"Anything I can do to help the team win," said Werner.
