Rhinos Fall Short, 4-3, at Northwest Territory
|
Lars Ketting had a strong outing for the Northwest Territory Beavers against the Redwood Rhinos at Beaver Town. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 4-3 win. Ketting got the win, improving to 2-0. He gave up 4 hits and walked 1 over 5.1 innings. He allowed 1 run. The loss has the Rhinos at 9-7.
Dennis Gillespie dealt the Rhinos a blow in the bottom of the seventh. Batting with runners on 1st and 2nd and Northwest Territory leading 3-2, Gillespie, who is tied for 9th in the PA- in home runs with 3, hit a 0-1 cutter for a run-scoring single.
"Lars gave us a heck of an effort," said Northwest Territory manager Robert Acker.
