Godfathers Get One-Run Win at Kennesaw
|
Pontiac got a strong outing from Roberto Deleón as the Godfathers defeated the Kennesaw Jets, 3-2, at Jets Stadium. Tom Womack finished the game for Pontiac and earned his 20th save. The Jets, now 40-42, have lost 5 straight.
Steve Owens had a direct impact on the outcome. Owens contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the second inning to put Pontiac up, 2-1.
"We're in a little bit of a dry spell," said Kennesaw manager Roberto Ríos.
