Blue Demons Grind Out 2-0 Win

The Mexico City Blue Demons got a stellar effort from pitcher Mark Bowden, helping Mexico City score a win over the visiting Pittsburgh Kingfishers, 2-0. The winning pitcher was Bowden, now 3-3. He tossed 5 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 0 and fanning 4. Leonard Dennis locked down his 6th save.
Rob Banks hit a run-scoring triple off David White in the bottom of the first, which put the Blue Demons in front, 1-0. Banks had 1 single, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 2 for 4.
"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Bowden told the Mexico City Daily.
Mexico City now sports a record of 11-12.
