Crawdads Get One-Run Win at Lake Erie
|
In a low-scoring tilt between the Cut Off Crawdads and the Lake Erie Arryns, Sloan Sullivan, who is tied for 10th in the PA with a 2.76 ERA, was the difference-maker. The Cut Off right-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win. Sullivan, now 5-6, was the winner. In 6.2 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 3, walking 0, and allowing 2 runs. Rich Griffin, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2061 draft, nailed down the save.
Martin Watson, who is tied for 10th in the PA in bases on balls with 29, had a direct impact on the outcome. Watson contributed a solo home run in the top of the third inning to put Cut Off up, 3-0.
"I'm just trying to make good contact," said Watson, "one at-bat at a time."
The Crawdads are now 40-43, while the Arryns fall to 51-32.
