Blue Dragons Score Late to Beat Vandals, 4-3
|
The Levittown Blue Dragons picked up a win at The Cave at Levittown, taking down the Eugene Vandals, 4-3, in 10 innings. On the mound for Levittown was right-hander Clancy Turner. He played a central role in the triumph. Levittown reliever Jean-Luc Morand picked up the win, upping his record to 3-5. Chun-hua Zhào was saddled with the loss. The Blue Dragons, at 39-45, sit in 7th place in the Premier A.
The Blue Dragons got a clutch hit from right fielder Jeffery Morrison. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Blue Dragons.
"Baseball is such a beautiful game," said Morrison. "Anything can happen on any night, and that's why you don't dwell on what happened yesterday. Just look forward and trust you're going to have positive results."
