Santos Mata made an impact in the 8-4 Lake Erie win over Cut Off. Mata, who is tied for 5th in the PA in RBI with 44, went 1-1 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. Tom McClendon earned the save for Lake Erie, his 1st of the year. With the win over Cut Off, the Arryns improved to 52-32.
Spencer Bonnar, who is tied for 6th in the PA in runs scored with 45, came through for Lake Erie with a 3-run home run in the bottom of the second. The third baseman went 2 for 5 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 1 run and collected 3 runs batted in.
"We came out aggressive," said Arryns manager Louis Espinosa. "We came out swinging the bats."
