Hicksville and Crowley got after it at Titans Ballpark.

The Hicksville Hounds had to overcome a big game from Crowley left fielder Al Gross to leave Titans Ballpark with a victory. And they did, winning, 6-3. Gross went 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The triumph makes Hicksville 10-7, as the team begins another long trek toward the playoffs in 2061.

Gerald Jones came through for Hicksville when he hit a run-scoring single in the top of the first. With the bases loaded, he hit a two-strike fastball to right field, staking his team to a 1-0 lead.

"We took advantage of our opportunities," Jones told the Hicksville Daily News. "It's as simple as that."
