The Redwood Rhinos beat the Fort Knox Centennial, 5-3, at Ballpark of Baxter. The Rhinos got a fine performance from right fielder Bobby Rush, who was 2 for 2 with 2 singles and 2 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Brian Myers went 7 innings, allowing 3 runs on 10 hits. The right-hander struck out 6 and walked 0. With the win, he's now 3-0 this season. Losses have been rare for the Centennial, who are now 13-5.

Had Rush not come through in the top of the seventh, who knows how the game would've ended? But with two down, Rush hit a 2-run single. The Rhinos took the lead, 5-3, and never looked back.

"I keep on showing up every day and trying to put up good at-bats and find good pitches to hit," said Rush.
