Sonny O'Mulrooney did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Hudsonville Flanderses from being beaten, 4-3, to the Germantown Uruguayans at Ballpark of Albuquerque. O'Mulrooney was 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Ronald Montés was the winner in relief. His record is now 1-1. The losing pitcher was Lapaele Bardo. Germantown goes to 8-10.

Up to bat in the bottom of the ninth, 20-year old center fielder Juan García had a chance to be the hero. Hudsonville pitcher Lapaele Bardo had other ideas. But with two outs, García drew a walk, driving in 1 run. The Uruguayans had themselves a dramatic win.

"Just glad I could help us get a win," said García.
