The Redwood Rhinos besoiled an otherwise fine performance by Tijuana center fielder Grady McCarty by beating the Toros, 4-3, at The Zoo. McCarty went 4 for 4 with a home run and 3 singles, while scoring 2 times. Morie Wada earned the win to go to 2-1. He allowed 3 runs on 6 hits, with 1 walk and 9 strikeouts in 8 innings of work. George Ringo earned save number 3 this season.
