The Kingston Township Knights beat the Long Island Lighthouse, 8-4, at Cloverdale Legion Park. The Knights got a fine performance from right fielder Rashid Qutaybah, who went 3-5 with a double and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs. Hong-bin Hark, the winner, improved to 2-2. He held Long Island to 4 runs on 6 hits over 5.2 innings, while racking up 7 strikeouts. Kingston Township now sits in 5th place in the Silver League at 13-11.
A key moment came in the bottom of the fifth inning when Knights third baseman Oliver Jordan socked a 1-0 fastball to center for a run-scoring single, putting Kingston Township up, 5-4.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Qutaybah.
