Tula Get One-Run Win at Newmarket
Marc Maxwell pitched well enough to win, but it was not to be. The Newmarket Rogues, despite Maxwell's fine outing, dropped a 3-2 decision to the Chicago Tula at Rogues Stadium. Chicago raised its record to 49-38 with the win.

The Tula took the lead in the top of the fifth when Richard Anderson banged a two-out single. Chicago had been trailing 2-1, but Anderson hit a 0-1 fastball from Marc Maxwell for a 2-run single.

"I'm not out there for personal accomplishments," Anderson told a Chicago Today reporter after the game. "I'm out there to help the team win, and that's what we did today."
