Hermit Crabs Snatch Late Win
|
No one was more impactful than Cisco Alvarado in the 7-3 Huntington win over Eugene. Alvarado, who is tied for 3rd in the PA in home runs with 17, went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. The win makes Huntington 50-37.
Huntington used a clutch hit from James Reed to get the win. The pinch hitter drilled a grand slam home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Hermit Crabs ahead, 6-3. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a doozy.
"We've got guys willing to do what it takes to win," Alvarado told the Huntington News.
