Uruguayans Get Past Tulsa for 4-3 Win
|
Tulsa got a terrific performance from pitcher Peter Harris, but it wasn't enough to beat the Germantown Uruguayans. Germantown won the Ballpark of Albuquerque contest, 4-3. Harris threw 7.2 innings of 4-hit ball for the losing team. Germantown pitcher Cory Valéncia got the win, upping his record to 1-2. Tomoyuki Sasaki got the loss. Ron Lee notched his 6th save of the season.
Dave Otto took Tulsa hurler Tomoyuki Sasaki deep in the bottom of the eighth. His 3-run home run put the Uruguayans on top, 4-3. In all, Otto had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
Germantown manager Jamie Scott praised his team's "energy."
The Otters, now 6-13, continue their inauspicious start.
