The Lake Erie Arryns beat the Holy City Herons, 6-1, at Mango Yard. Starting pitcher Mick Ditka was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. The save went to Luis Vargas, number 2 for him. With the victory, the Arryns upped their record to 50-38.

Jeffery Foster had a big 2-run home run for the Arryns in the top of the fourth inning. With Lake Erie leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a changeup from Pete Johnson, who is tied for 8th in the PA with a 2.75 ERA, and punished it. The result was his 7th home run of the season, which put the Arryns on top, 3-0.

Said losing manager Sean Sanford: "Obviously, we wished for a better outcome."
