Eliot Thompson was locked in. The right-hander led the South Beach Blaze to a 6-4 win against the Pontiac Godfathers at The Ballpark on the Beach. With the win, South Beach pushed its record to 50-38.

South Beach took control in the bottom of the sixth. With two out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Jorge Santos hit a 2-run single to make it 6-4, Blaze.

"Eliot did a good job of managing their lineup," said South Beach manager Jorge Silva.
