Loss to Reapers Extends Delmarva Losing Streak
|
Reapers catcher Spencer Jeffries left his mark on his team's 6-1 win over the Delmarva Gallos. Jeffries, who is tied for 9th in the PA in RBI with 38, went 2-4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for Grim in the contest. Delmarva's current losing streak is now 6 games.
Bill Brown was 1-3 with a walk for Grim. The 20-year old shortstop had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring walk off Daniil Shipko. It was his 27th walk of the season.
"I play this game for myself and my family, but of course it's always nice when we can win," said Jeffries.
