The Chicago Tula converted a terrific effort from starter Kip Hill into a win over the Eugene Vandals at Ramblers Ballpark. The Tula won the game by a final score of 2-1. Hill, now 8-6, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 7, walking 3, and allowing 1 run. Chicago has 3 straight wins, Eugene 3 straight losses.
Chicago took advantage of an error in the bottom of the sixth inning. The game was tied, 1-1, when Jean Mazet hit a run-scoring single that was misplayed. It put the Tula in front, 2-1.
