The Crowley Cajuns racked up a win at Ballpark of Henderson, bumping off the Amarillo Warheads, 5-2. Halmar Visscher, who started for Crowley, pitched effectively for his team. Crowley reliever Alejandro Vargas picked up the win to move to 1-1. Tomás Flores suffered the loss. Kevin Evans nailed down his 4th save.

Crowley needed the clutch hitting of Henny Clerq to notch the win. The center fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Cajuns on top, 3-1. For the game, Clerq had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"Glad to get this win," said Visscher. "But we need to keep playing at a high level."
