Centennial Rally For Late Win Over Crossbeaus

Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Fort Knox Centennial and Beaumont Crossbeaus.
Beaumont got a terrific game from pinch hitter Adrian Cameron. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Fort Knox, 6-4. Cameron went 1 for 1 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Shigekazu Abe picked up the win in relief. Juan Velásquez took the loss for Beaumont.
Fort Knox used the timely hitting of Joong-geun Pak to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Centennial on top, 6-4. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"In this profession, you've got to put the good and the bad behind you quickly," Beaumont skipper José Ortega said.
The Centennial bumped their record to 12-8 with this latest triumph.
