Put-In-Bay turned a good effort from starter Kiyonaga Kondo into a win over the Lake Erie Arryns at Arryns Ballpark. The final score was 2-1. The 4th-place Commodores sport a record of 45-44.
Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for José Cabrera? The 22-year old right fielder Cabrera stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the tenth inning to put Put-In-Bay up, 2-1. For the game, he was 2 for 4, including 1 double and 1 single.
"All in all, I thought Kiyonaga pitched a fine game for us tonight," said Put-In-Bay manager José Trejo.
