Crawdads Best Jets in Pitching Duel

Fans watched the Cut Off Crawdads and the Kennesaw Jets fight to the finish.
In a low-scoring contest, Cut Off pitcher Stu Spiker was marvelous, enabling his team to nab a 2-1 win. Spiker got the win, improving to 5-3. He gave up 4 hits and walked 2 over 6.2 innings. He allowed no runs.
John Cross had a critical at-bat with one out in the bottom of the sixth for Cut Off. He came through with a solo home run to put Cut Off in front, 2-0.
"That's baseball," said Kennesaw manager Jamie Scott. "Sometimes the other team plays better than yours."
Today's win puts Cut Off at 55-35, while Kennesaw falls to 40-50.
