Beavers Deal Flanderses 5-2 Defeat
|
Northwest Territory turned a good performance from starting pitcher Kiyonaga Kondo into a 5-2 triumph over the Hudsonville Flanderses at Hudsonville Park. Northwest Territory is now 11-9, Hudsonville 6-14.
Northwest Territory used a well-timed hit by Jorge Valdéz to capture the win. The second baseman socked a run-scoring double in the top of the second inning to put the Beavers ahead, 1-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"Kiyonaga pitched like a champ," said Northwest Territory manager Robert Acker.
