The Redwood Rhinos picked up a win at The Zoo, downing the Tijuana Toros, 5-3. On the mound for Redwood was right-hander Brian Myers, who played a pivotal role in the win. The 7th-place Toros have dropped 4 straight games.

Dave Beasley dealt the Toros a blow in the bottom of the fifth. Batting with the bases loaded and Redwood leading 4-3, Beasley hit a 1-2 curveball for a run-scoring single.

"For the most part, I made good pitches when I needed to," said Myers.
