Hicksville Rallies for 5-3 Victory
|
Ballpark of Baxter was the site of a competitive game between the Fort Knox Centennial and Hicksville Hounds.
Luke Little, who is tied for 6th in the PA- in innings pitched with 31.0, propelled his team to victory over the Fort Knox Centennial. The final score was 5-3, Hicksville. Hicksville reliever Tony Hurtado was the winner. His record is now 2-0. José Arenas took the loss. Ricardo Gamera closed it out for Hicksville, earning his 4th save.
Hicksville used a clutch hit from Preston Wilson to get the win. The center fielder drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Hounds ahead, 5-2. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a doozy.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Wilson.
The Hounds now have a mark of 10-11.
