The Smoky Mountain Hobeaus topped the Chicago Tula, 5-4, in USPL Single A action at Smokies Stadium. The game was highlighted by the performance of Smoky Mountain pitcher Brandon Martin. António Valenzuela earned the save for Smoky Mountain, his 3rd. Smoky Mountain has won 3 straight, while Chicago has lost 3 in a row.

Smoky Mountain took the lead, 5-4, on Scott Steiner's 10th home run of the season. The 3-run home run came off Chicago pitcher Daniel Orr in the bottom of the eighth.
