|
Lake Erie catcher Mal Richardson played a vital role in his team's 7-6 conquest of Grim. He was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once for Lake Erie. Mick Ditka, the winning pitcher, improved to 2-4. He pitched 7 innings, giving up 8 hits and 4 runs, while striking out 5 and walking 0. The Arryns saw their win-loss record go to 42-50. At the same time, the Reapers fell to 50-42.
In the first inning, Richardson had a grand slam home run for Lake Erie. It was his 8th home run of the season and put the Arryns on top, 5-0.
