Flanderses Pull Out Late Win, 2-1
The Hudsonville Flanderses had to overcome a fine effort from Germantown pitcher Boyd Holohan to win, 2-1, at Ballpark of Albuquerque. Holohan went 9 innings and allowed 2 runs. Cristóbal González earned the save for Hudsonville, his 7th of the year. The win puts Hudsonville at 13-9 this season.

Hudsonville used the timely hitting of Eric Thomas to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Flanderses on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Hudsonville skipper Jacob Messer.
