The Chicago Tula and Smoky Mountain Hobeaus put on quite a show.

Chicago beat Smoky Mountain at Smokies Stadium, escaping with a 5-4 win in 10 innings. The win in large part was due to catcher Tim Bender. He went 5 for 5 with a home run and 4 singles, while scoring 2. The Tula now own a record of 56-37.

This game was not decided until Bryan Catron came to bat in the top of the tenth. With runners on 1st and 3rd and one out, the Chicago right fielder hit a sacrifice fly. The Tula took the lead, 5-4.

"Sometimes winning takes more than 27 outs," said Tula manager Don Pokorski.
