The Kennesaw Jets got a magnificent performance from pitcher Dan Black, who muffled the Newmarket offense en route to a tight, 2-1 Jets win at Jets Stadium. Marlon Henderson snagged the win in relief. He goes to 6-8 on the season. Jeff LaPierre suffered the loss. Kennesaw, with the win, sits at 30-63.

The Jets got a clutch hit from shortstop Neill Barthen. In the bottom of the 11th, he hit a run-scoring single to right, to win the game for the Jets.

"Always feels extra good winning this kind of game," said Barthen.
