In a low-scoring tilt between the Amarillo Warheads and the Germantown Uruguayans, 22-year old right-handed pitcher Manuel Muñóz was the difference-maker. The Amarillo right-hander spearheaded the 3-0 win. Picking up the save was Joe Jenkins, his 10th. With the victory, the Warheads upped their record to 16-6.

Amarillo used a clutch at-bat from Rick Becker to capture the win. The designated hitter hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Warheads ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"It never gets old," said Becker. "Winning, that is."
