Fort Knox Centennial starter Ernan Kayabya turned in a sterling performance against the Northwest Territory Beavers, leading his team to a slim, 2-1 win. The win belonged to Travis Farmer in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Jay Keirl took the loss for Northwest Territory. Picking up the save was Adam Weijman, his 6th.
Evan Hide's hit in the top of the ninth was a game-changer. With two out, he rapped a fastball from Jay Keirl to center for a run-scoring single. It put Fort Knox in front, 2-1.
"Ernan gave us a heck of an effort," said Fort Knox manager Michael Malloy.
The win makes Fort Knox 17-6.
