Cut Off pitcher Warren Mora had a large part in his team subduing the Eugene Vandals, 5-1. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the right-hander. In 5.2 innings, Mora surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 8 and walking 1. He allowed 1 run. Cut Off bumps their record to 48-46 with the win.
Cut Off won the game in part because of Andy Jackson. The second baseman ripped a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Crawdads ahead, 3-0. For the game, Jackson had 1 double and 1 home run in 3 at-bats.
"Some wins are easy and some are difficult, but either way we come to the ballpark ready to work hard every day," Jackson told the Cut Off Bulletin.
